jamaica!!!!!!

Hi everyone!
we arrived safely home last night after 6 days and 5 nights in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Other than the 20 hour spell of food poisoning Minta and I suffered, overall it was amazing! there are no where near enough photos of joella as there should be. You’ll be happy to know we were focusing on fun rather than the camera. Jojo’s favorite part of the trip was being in the water. Whether the Ocean or the pool, it didn’t matter much to her. She would get so excited and start flapping her arms and her legs it was worth the trip to the ocean just to see her go wild in the water.
Our trip was amazing and much needed. You’ll see many folks from my company in the pictures, it will help you understand our trip by seeing the huge community of friends we traveled with! And by no surprise, Jojo continued to break hearts daily with her looks and charm.

On Saturday December 6th we were visiting Oma in Burlington and Jojo decided it was time to eat solid food and THEN at 1130pm it was time to crawl for the first time. Wow! holy cow bells! BACK by popular demand!!!

it’s been too long. the last month has been wild for us! I was busy promoting 5 parties in one month as well as training a new manager & transferring to another cafe in town. Minta spent time in Elk Mound with the fam, travelled to Sparta for a family reunion and up to Hudson to hang with Mandy & Kristin. During all of this travelling and working, taking time to watch JoJo grow into the beautiful lady she already is has consumed us, specifically ME to such a degree that sitting on a computer and uploading HUNDREDS of photos just didnt make it on my to-do list…. UNTIL NOW!!!

Minta and I made a commitment a while back that August would be our month. Hangin’ around Madison, enjoying the city we love, taking long walks with Joella & giving this family the time to relax together is so very important to us as the era of maternity leave nears its end. Minta returns to work in September, Megan is moving into the house next door; our family is about to undergo some changes come September. So for now until the end of August, we will be straight up chillin’. Feel free to drop in for a visit

what’s the hold up?

Hello dedicated ‘welovelulu’ers! I must apologize for the lack of photos. Life has been nuts-o and i have a full memory card of photos to upload. Please stay tuned, the photos will make their way up in the next couple days!

What have we missed… Minta & JoJo spent a few days in Elk Mound hangin with Gram & Gramps Dwyer. I met up with them on Thursday June 26th and on the 27th we headed to Minneapolis for a much needed visit with loved ones for Pride Weekend. We returned to Madison on Tuesday of last week and Wednesday Teresa and Kevin came for a night on their way to St Louis!! On Thursday July 3rd we headed to Burlington for the weekend and JoJo met Uncle John who was in from LA for the 4th. We had a relaxing weekend away and just returned this morning. Minta picked up a shift tomorrow @ the birth center so we’ll see how her first day back to work goes!

Joella is ridiculously cute. She is quite the heart throb of every passer by. I cannot express how many times we hear “No, really. She is the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen!” And she is. She is laughing more often, smiling like crazy and has just started crabbing things with her hands. It’s all pretty awesome right now.

Congratulations to Uncle JJ for his promotion!! We love and miss you, Captain JJ xoxo
